2. Review the names f shps.
T: There are many different shps arund us. What shps d yu knw? I have sme pictures here. Please tell me the name f each shp.
Step 2 Presentatin
1. Shw students the picture and ask: Where is the lady? What is she ding?
2. T: Simn als wants t buy a pair f shes. He and his mther are talking with the shpkeeper. Listen t the tape and answer the fllwing questins.
(1) What size are Simn’s feet?
(2) Hw much des the pair f shes cst?
(3) What des Simn’s mther think f the shes?
3. Ask students t practice reading the cnversatin and try t imitate the intnatin.

Make a survey.
T: We need mney when shpping. I knw yu always have sme ways t get pcket mney. It is imprtant t use mney wisely. I have a questinnaire abut pcket mney. Please ask and answer with yur partner.
Step 2 Practice
1. Listen and chse.
T: Simn and his friends als have sme pcket mney. D yu knw what they ften buy with their mney? Let’s listen and find ut the answer. Then ask students t check the answers with their partners.
2. T: Let’s watch a vide abut the children in pr areas in China. D yu think they have any pcket mney? Will yu use yur pcket mney t help them?
3. Shw students the pictures in Part A2 n Page 87 and ask students t talk abut things the children in pr areas need.
4. Let students listen t the cnversatin between Simn and his mther and chse what the children in pr areas need.
5. Ask students t listen t the cnversatin again and cmplete the reasns.
6. Ask students t cmplete Simn’s letter in Part A3 n Page 88.

1. Ask students t discuss in grups f fur. What can we d t help the children in pr areas? Ask each grup t share their ideas with the whle class.
2. Write the students’ ideas n the blackbard.
(1) Write letters t ask Prject Hpe fr help.
(2) Save ur pcket mney and dnate it t the pr children.
(3) Buy sme bks, statinery, basketballs and ftballs fr them.
