"Because I am Chinese, my husband and I wanted the children t keep expsed t the language and culture," she says.
"Staying with a native speaker is better fr children than simply sitting in a classrm," says Suzanne Flynn, a prfessr in language educatin f children. "But parents must understand that just ne year with an au pair is unlikely t prduce wnders. Cmplete mastery demands cntinued learning until the age f 10 r 12."

The behavir f a building's users may be at least as imprtant as its design when it cmes t energy use, accrding t new research frm the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC). The UK prmises t reduce its carbn emissins by 80 percent by 2050, part f which will be achieved by all new hmes being zer-carbn by 2016. But this reprt shws that sustainable building design n its wn-thugh extremely imprtant—is nt enugh t achieve such reductins: the behavir f the peple using the building has t change t.
The study suggests that the ways that peple use and live in their hmes have been largely ignred by existing effrts t imprve energy efficiency, which instead fcus n architectural and technlgical develpments.
"Technlgy is ging t assist but it is nt ging t d everything," explains Katy Janda, a UKERC senir researcher "cnsumptin patterns f building users can defeat the mst careful design." In ther wrds, ld habits die hard, even in the best-designed ec-hme.
Anther part f the prblem is infrmatin. Husehlds and bill-payers dn't have the knwledge they need t change their energy-use habits. Withut specific infrmatin, it's hard t estimate the csts and benefits f making different chices. Feedback facilities, like smart meters and energy mnitrs, culd help bridge this infrmatin gap by helping peple see hw changing their behaviur directly affects their energy use; sme studies have shwn that husehlds can achieve up t 15 percent energy savings using smart meters.
Scial science research has added a further dimensin(方面), suggesting that individuals' behaviur in the hme can be persnal and cannt be predicted—whether peple thrw pen their windws rather than turn dwn the thermstat(恒温器), fr example.

A. grwing生长;B. migrating迁移;C. cmpeting竞争;D. disappearing消失。 Wildlife has been greatly threatened in the mdern age.
A. ban禁止;B. save挽救,保护,节省;C. split分离;D. remve移动。
A. care照顾;B. eye眼睛;C. mind思想;D. stry故事。
A. fund发现;B. chsen选择;C. raised抚养,提高;D. seized抓住。
A. bnus奖金;B. cnsequence结果;C. victry胜利;D. sacrifice牺牲。
A. never从未,从不;B. always总是;C. unluckily不幸运地;D. cheerfully愉快地。
A. liked喜欢;B. refused拒绝;C. decided决定;D. hesitated犹豫。
A. gift礼物;B. skill技巧;C. cncern担心,担忧;D. reputatin名声。
A. cmbinatin结合;B. cllectin收集;C. strategy策略;D. system体系。
A. frced强迫;B. frbade禁止;C. taught教;D. enabled使能够。 enable sb. t d sth.
A. list清单;B. rise上升;C. agenda议程;D. decline下降。
A. In cntrast与此相反;B. After all毕竟;C. By the way顺便问一下;D. On the cntrary相反地。
A. leave离开;B. bridge架桥,渡过;C. pen打开;D. identify确认。
A. curse课程,科目;B. excuse借口;C. answer答案;D. reward报酬,报答。
A. brains大脑;B. behavirs行为;C. services服务;D. prjects工程。
A. guide引导,带领;B. treat请客,款待;C. example例子;D. cmpanin同伴。

(1)has/will have 考查动词时态和主谓一致。 故填has/will have。
根据后文same style可知,此处特指同款衣服,所以用定冠词the,the same相同的,故填the。
(3)that/which 考查关系代词。
the answer t this questin意为“这个问题的答案”,为固定搭配,故填t。
故填imprved/were imprved。
want t d sth.
(9)cnnectin/cnnectins 考查不可数名词和名词的数。

The teenage year(改为years)frm 13 t 19 were the mst difficult time fr me. They were als the best and wrse(改为wrst)years in my life. At last, I will be n my wn, but I still want t have my parents t turn t whenever∧(添加I)need help.
故将year改为years。
and连接的前后两部分形式应一致,and前的best是最高级,又根据in my life可知,此处应用最高级wrst。
