Named after the African clawed frgs frm which they take their stem cells, xenbts are less than a millimeter wide — small enugh t travel inside human bdies. They can walk and swim, survive fr weeks withut fd, and wrk tgether in grups. These are “entirely new life frms” , said prject cleader Michael Levin, directr f the Allen Discvery Center.
The researchers remved living stem cells, which have the ability t develp int different cell types, frm frg embrys (胚胎), and left them t incubate (孵化). The cells then began t wrk n their wn and even have the regenerative pwer; when the scientists cut the living rbt almst in half, its cells autmatically zipped its bdy back up.
Xenbts dn't lk like traditinal rbts — they have n shiny clthing r rbtic arms. Instead, they lk mre like a tiny drp f mving pink flesh. The researchers say this is deliberate — this bilgical machine can achieve things typical rbts f steel and plastic cannt d. “Traditinal rbts degrade ver time and can prduce eclgical and health side effects,” researchers said in the study. As bilgical machines, xenbts are mre envirnmentally friendly and safer fr human health, the study said.
Research is being dne int using the rbts t clean up radiactive waste r even micrplastics frm the cean. Scientists are als trying t include a greater variety f cells — a new nervus system fr example. Ⅱ.
1.答案与解析:F F项中的“any tpic”与空前一句中的“the right tpics”呼应,且选项中的“Additinally”和下文中的“Finally”呼应,所以选F项,与下一句“This saves yu lking it up”相衔接。

The frest f my hmetwn is beautiful n matter eq \(hw,\s\d16(①what)) the seasn is. I came t eq \(the,\s\d16(④a)) full stp, and we stared at each ther. He seemed eq \(cleverly,\s\d16(⑤clever)). He had been in this wrld fr sme eq \(mnth,\s\d16(⑥mnths)) and I didn't want eq \(∧,\s\d16(⑦t)) end his life. Finally, I mtined with my hand fr him t g n. Having seen eq \(anything,\s\d16(⑧nthing)) t fear, he jumped acrss the rad. I eq \(drive,\s\d16(⑨drve)) n smiling at the magic f this mment eq \(but,\s\d16(⑩and)) was thankful that I had been ging slwly nt t hit this beautiful creature.
④the改为a'冠词误用。cme t a stp为固定表达,意为“停止”,所以将the改为a。
want t d sth.
⑩but改为and'连词误用。
