Luis Braille was French, wh invented a system f reading and writing fr use by the blind r visually impaired. At the age f 4, he was cmpletely blind due t an accident. He didn't give up himself. On the cntrary, he vercame the difficulties with his six-dt system. His system remains virtually unchanged t this day, and is knwn wrldwide simply as Braille.

Dts are cntained in a space called a Braille cell. Each cell can cntain as many as six dts arranged in tw rws f three dts. A ttal f 63 cmbinatins is pssible using anywhere frm ne t six dts.
When Braille letters are capitalized there is a bx befre the wrd with a dt in the lwer left hand crner. When an entire wrd is capitalized then there are tw f these bxes befre a wrd.
