Recently, Nima Rinji Sherpa frm Nepal cmpleted his gal by climbing the 8,027-metre Munt Shishapangma in China's Xizang Autnmus Regin. The 18-year-ld teenager has becme the yungest climber t reach the tp f the wrld's 14 highest muntains. The 14 muntains Nima climbed, knwn as the "8,000ers", are each at least 8,000 metres tall. Climbing all 14 is such a difficult and dangerus challenge that nly a few peple have managed t cmplete it.
Nima is a Sherpa. Sherpas are a grup f peple frm Nepal knwn fr their climbing skills. They guide climbers frm ther cuntries, carry heavy bjects and set up safety equipment (安全设备). While freign climbers ften receive mst f the attentin fr their achievements, Sherpas d much f the hard wrk in the same dangerus cnditins. Nima hpes t bring sme f that attentin back t Sherpas.
