Sme bring picture bks r small tys, thers create “kids’ kits” with puzzles and games. On certain trains, a children's activity area has even been set up in the dining car.
Railway staff als encurage parents t prepare entertainment in advance—such as dwnlading cartns r bringing educatinal games—t help children enjy the ride calmly and cnstructively. Balancing children's natural liveliness with public rder is n easy task. Drnes(无人机)have becme integrated int everyday life ver the past decade—in areas as diverse as entertainment, health care and cnstructin. They have als begun t transfrm the way peple grw fd. Cmpared t drnes frm several years ag, tday's mdels are easy and relatively affrdable. They are similar t flying tractrs—multifunctinal machines that can perfrm numerus tasks n farms, including spraying crps, spreading fertilizer and measuring crp health.
Multiple materials shw histrically mst agricultural technlgy—tractrs, fr example—has spread frm high - incme cuntries t middle - and then lwer - incme nes. Drnes partly reversed and dramatically accelerated its develpment pattern, diffusing first frm East Asia t Sutheast Asia, then t Latin America, and finally t Nrth America and Eurpe. Their use in higher - incme regins is mre limited but is accelerating rapidly in the U.S.
China leads the wrld in agricultural drne manufacturing and adptin. In 2016, a Chinese cmpany intrduced the first agriculture - specific drne. There are nw mre than 250,000 agricultural drnes reprted t be in use there. Other middle - incme cuntries have als been enthusiastic adpters. Fr instance, drnes were used n 30% f Thailand's farmland in 2023, up frm almst nne in 2019. In the U.S., registered agricultural drnes jumped frm 1,000 in early 2024 t abut 5,500 by mid - 2025.
Drnes reduce the need fr farmers t perfrm tiring spraying and spreading wrk themselves and they n lnger have t hire wrkers t d the same. By taking ver sme physically demanding tasks, drnes can als help make farming mre attractive t rural yuth, wh are tired f hard wrk in traditinal farming. Besides, drnes create new skilled emplyment pprtunities in rural areas fr pilts, many f whm are yung peple.
The drne revlutin is reshaping farming faster than almst any technlgy befre it. In just five years, millins f farmers arund the wrld have embraced drnes. Air pllutin is a widespread issue affecting millins f peple arund the wrld, causing disastrus effects. But we humans are nt the nly nes t suffer frm unclean air. In the last decade, a grwing bdy f research has started t demnstrate hw air pllutants disrupt many aspects f insects' lives t.
The main air pllutants that scientists are mst cncerned abut in insects are nitrgen xides and zne(臭氧)—bth naturally present in the atmsphere and increasing due t human activities. Thse gases can react with and break dwn sme f the cmpunds that insects use t cmmunicate with each ther, r that guide the cmmunicatin between insects and plants.
Science is revealing that air pllutants can affect insects and plants even at levels cnsidered safe fr humans. While this field f research is still at its early stages, "the mre we find ut, the mre we see that there're really big ptential impacts n these eclgical cmmunities," says Jeffrey Riffell, sensry eclgist at the University f Washingtn.
Fr example, pllutin can hamper the scial life f ne f the mst scial animals f all: ants. Smell plays a majr rle in ants' wrld. Each clny usually has its wn signature dr, and when a creature with an unfamiliar smell enters the clny, ants usually turn against it. Ozne, hwever, can slightly change that dr by interacting with hydrcarbns, which play a rle in the clny's scent, n ants' bdies.
With many questins unanswered, nly the effects n a few species f insects have been studied s far. Riffell says that research shuld mve ut f the lab t, t investigate directly in the field the effects these pllutants are having n insects. Anther step is t als try t understand hw air pllutin impacts insects differently arund the wrld.
But n a brader scale, all ver the wrld, insects are declining due t different threats, such as lss f habitat and pesticides. Air pllutin is ne mre threat t ppulatin numbers. The cnsequences might even spill ver int the human realm, experts say.
      32. Hw d the pllutants affect the insects?
      A. By reacting with and breaking dwn sme cmpunds.
      B. By cmmunicating with insects and plants.
      C. By guiding the insects' cmmunicatin.
      D. By killing sme plants.
      33. What makes the ant a gd example?
      A. Its size.B. Its smell.C. Its sciability.
      C. Its invisibility.
      34. What is implied by the underlined statement in the last paragraph?
      A. Insects will start attacking humans.
      B. Air pllutin will sn becme harmless t insects.
      C. The decline f insect ppulatins culd affect humans.
      D. Humans will eventually develp the same prblems as insects.
      35. What is the main purpse f the passage?
      A. T discuss hw air pllutin affects insects.
      B. T prpse slutins fr reducing air pllutin.
      C. T cmpare the effects f air pllutin n humans and insects.
      D. T explain the chemical prcesses by which zne affects ant clnies.

      Dear Je,
Last weekend, I visited the "Great Changes f Hmetwn" themed exhib at the city art gallery, which left me deeply impressed.
The mst memrable painting is a set f cntrasting wrks: ne shws the ld shabby huses and muddy paths f ur city decades ag, while the ther presents the current skyscrapers, wide asphalt rads and lush green parks in the same area.
Lking at these wrks, I truly realize hw rapidly ur hmetwn has develped. Peple's living standards have been greatly imprved, and we are enjying a mre cnvenient and cmfrtable life. It als inspires me t study harder t cntribute t the cnstructin f ur hmetwn in the future.
      Best wishes,
      Li Hua
