      On August 12, 2024, a 20-year-ld student frm the UK fell ver while taking part in a summer exchange prgram at a university in Suzhu. After falling, his breathing was weak and he lst cnsciusness (意识). Smene called 120 at nce.
      Yang Xiaping, frm Suzhu’s emergency centre, received the call and quickly decided that the student needed CPR. Thrugh an nline first aid platfrm, Yang and anther dctr taught smene wh was n the scene t perfrm CPR n the student.
      Once the ambulance arrived, the student was cnnected t an electrnic CPR device n the way t the hspital. After arriving at the hspital, the emergency team cntinued CPR fr seven mre minutes until they detected the student’s heartbeat and pulse. Then he was sent t the intensive care unit (重症监护室). The student recvered rapidly due t prper treatment he received there. In a few days, he culd eat and get ut f his bed by himself.
      On August 15th, the student’s parents flew t Suzhu t express their thanks. “We’re s thankful t everyne—the warm-hearted peple in the university, ambulance team, nurses and dctrs.
