The rbts are cming! In science fictin that is usually a minus warning. But in the real wrld, it is a predictin — and a welcme ne. The field f rbtics has made impressive prgress in the past year, as researchers have applied advances in artificial intelligence (AI) t machines, which gives rbts f all kinds a dramatic brain upgrade. The latest advances in rbtics will bring real and substantial benefits.

Yu can ask a rbt what it is able t see r tell it t "pick up the yellw fruit". Such mdels in effect give rbts a degree f cmmn sense — in this case, knwing that a nearby banana is a kind f yellw fruit. And like a chatbt, a rbt can be tld t change its behaviur simply by changing a text prmpt, smething that wuld previusly have required cmplex reprgramming.
Anther benefit is that rbts are getting better at learning quickly thrugh imitatin and at applying ne skill t anther. This pens the dr fr rbts t mve ut f factries and strehuses. Several cmpanies and research grups are using the latest AI mdels t build human - like rbts, which culd ck, clean, and care fr the aged and the needy.
Advanced ecnmies will need mre autmatin if they are t maintain their standards f living. Suth Krea, Japan and China are all in the tp five cuntries with the mst rbts fr each factry wrker. It is n cincidence that they are als ageing rapidly. Withut rbts t help ut, mre peple may have t wrk lnger and retire later. In the cming years, attitudes culd well
change frm fearing the arrival f rbts t wishing that they wuld get here sner.
61. What des the underlined wrd "minus" in paragraph 1 mean?
A. Glbal.B. Early.C. Obvius.D. Threatening.
62. What d new "multimdal" AI mdels enable rbts t d?
A. Perfrm cmplex reprgramming.B. Have a cnversatin with humans.
C. Respnd t everyday language.D. Crrect text instructins.
63. What des the authr stress abut rbts in paragraph 3?
A. They will play a key rle in factries.
B. They will take n mre human tasks.
C. They will require less human mnitring.
D. They will benefit the aged mre than thers.
64. Why are Suth Krea, Japan and China mentined in the last paragraph?
A. T shw they have many rbts.
B. T share their experience with rbts.
C. T explain the rle f rbts in ageing scieties.
D. T discuss why their ppulatins are ageing.
65. What is the authr's attitude t advances in rbtics?
