      T slve these prblems, the research team develped a laser cmmunicatin grund statin with a 1.8-meter-wide ptical telescpe (光学望远镜) in Lijiang, Yunnan prvince. Acting like a sharp eye, the statin can receive weak signals frm ver 40,000 kilmeters away. Besides, scientists used a guiding laser t help the satellite and grund statin quickly find each ther. They als used advanced technlgy t keep the “cnversatin” stable (稳定的).
      The effrts have resulted in a breakthrugh. At distances f up t 40,740 kilmeters, the grund statin and a high-rbit satellite achieved tw-way cmmunicatin in just 4 secnds. The cnnectin, which was as fast as 1 gigabit (千兆比特) per secnd, lasted ver 3 hurs withut a break.
      This means that high-rbit satellites can nt nly send infrmatin quickly but als receive detailed instructins in real time. The experiment prved the deep-space cmmunicatin abilities f grund statins. “With this technlgy, we Chinese will be able t cmmunicate with deep space prbes n the mn, Mars and ther lcatins directly frm Earth,” Liu said.
