My grandmther grew up in a wrld different frm me. She experienced many things in her lng life.

The mney was insignificant. I wuld prbably spend it n any ty that I wuld lse sn after; it was the meaning behind her gift that mattered. It was her saying, “ I lve yu; I am yur family and I want yu t wrk hard as yur family has befre yu.”

      【24题详解】
细节理解题。由第二段“she savred (品味) her fd, cherished (珍惜)it. Often she wuld be the first t sit at the dinner table, and the last t leave.”可知,祖母品尝着食物,很珍惜食物。 她常常是第一个坐在餐桌旁,最后一个吃完离开的。所以作者的祖母花了那么多时间在餐桌旁吃饭,是因为她真的很想享受美食。故选D项。

Teenagers wh spend mre time n after-schl activities and less than tw hurs f screen time after schl are mre mentally healthy, accrding t a study published in the jurnal Preventive Medicine.
The study used infrmatin cllected frm mre than 28,000 seventh-grade Canadian students between 2014 and 2018. The students first answered questins abut their usage f screen time after schl, including hw much time they spent watching TV r smething else. Then, students reprted hw many days they had taken part in after-schl activities such as sprts r arts prgrammes. After that, researchers asked students t describe their state f mind. Fr example, when given a statement such as “I start mst days thinking that I will have a gd day”, they culd chse t what level they agreed with it n a scale (等级).
Researchers said in the study sme f the results were expected. Students with n after-schl activities usually had high levels f screen time, fr example. And they expected girls wuld scre higher n negative indicatrs (消极指标)f mental health. as earlier research had fund that they tended t have higher levels f anxiety cmpared t bys.
What was ntewrthy, researchers say, is that even amng students wh tk part in after-schl activities, 46% still went beynd the recmmended screen time f tw hurs. At the same time, 67% f students wh didn’t take part in after-schl activities als had mre than tw hurs f screen time. Tgether, this suggests high screen time amng teenagers generally.
“The findings suggest that after-schl activities are valuable fr the happy grwing f teenagers,” the study said. “While past studies have prved the imprtance f after-schl activities fr scial and academic develpment, the present study shws their imprtance fr gd mental health results.”
      28. Which f the fllwing came last when students tk part in the new study?
      A. Talking abut their lifestyles.
      B. Intrducing their after-schl activities.
      C. Reprting their mental states n a scale.
      D. Answering questins abut screen time use.
