On many days I admit that I feel depressed, days when it seems that the effrts, the struggles, and the sacrifices f s many peple fighting fr scial and envirnmental justice, fighting prejudice and racism, are fighting a lsing battle.

Like all peple wh live lng enugh, I have been thrugh many dark perids and seen s much suffering. I was in New Yrk n that terrible day in 2001.
