      It is cmmn knwledge that spiders use their webs t catch insects. Hwever, sme spiders have develped ther uses fr their webs. One such spider is the Eurpean water spider, which uses its web t breathe underwater.
      The Eurpean water spider spends mst f its life underwater. It mates (交配), cares fr its yung, and feeds n insects belw the water’s surface. Since it needs t breathe, the spider carefully keeps the air inside its web. This is what allws it t stay underwater fr a lng time.
      The web is shaped like a balln with a hle in the bttm. This “balln” keeps the air inside and allws the spider t get in and ut thrugh the bttm t catch nearby insects.
