I was glad t let her knw that her mm's encuragement had helped me take up shrt-stry writing. The mre we talked, the clser we became. We gt clser thrugh ur mutual interest in charity (慈善) wrk, and after a while, we planned a visit t see her secnd cusin, Mary, and her family, wh ran a Christian yuth camp in Kentucky. They were in need f clthing, kitchen equipment, and financial cntributins, and we began t gather these, expecting ur trip.

We packed my car t the full with ur dnatins and headed ut t rural Kentucky. I dn’t think we stpped talking, laughing, and catching up during the entire thirteen-hur drive. When we finally arrived at the camp, Beth's family greeted us with pen arms. Tired but happy, we unladed the car and were tuched by their excitement at seeing ur gifts.
