Sme kids struggle with math. Nw, scientists have pinpinted sme f the specific thinking prcesses and brain regins that might explain the reasn.
In the new study, researchers tested secnd-and third-grade kids with and withut math learning disabilities by shwing them tw numbers frm 1 t 9 and giving the kids a few secnds t pick which number they thught was larger. Meanwhile, nt slwing dwn after errrs was assciated with lwer activity in anther brain regin invlved in detecting errrs and mnitring perfrmance.
