Ladies and gentlemen, thank yu fr inviting me t speak t yu abut Blue Sky Rescue tday. Let me begin with my wn stry. Back in 2008, I was hiking in the muntains with sme friends when ne f them fell and gt a bad head injury. We had t find help quickly, s we called an emergency number. It was already dark, and we culdn't even see where we were. After sme time, we heard dgs barking and the vices f the Blue Sky Rescue team. I nearly started crying. We were s thankful that they fund us!
I've never frgtten that day. Since then, I've wanted t help thers t. I signed up with Blue Sky Rescue in 2009, and I’ve been a vlunteer ever since. We’ve been t schls and ther cmmunities t teach children and adults hw t stay safe and prepare fr the wrst. We've als rescued peple during emergencies. We've prvided medical aid and searched fr missing peple after natural disasters like the 2013 earthquake in Ya'an and the typhn in the Philippines in the same year. In 2023, we even helped in places as far away as Turkiye!
Wrking as a vlunteer has taught me many practical life-saving skills. It has als helped me understand the pwer f teamwrk because it's the key t successful rescues. Mst f all, being a vlunteer has taught me the value f every life.The wrk is difficult. It's vluntary, s we aren't paid. We ften g withut fd r sleep. But ur primary gal has always been t save as many peple as we can. I'm just an rdinary persn, but I'll rush int danger, just like everyne else in Blue Sky Rescue. T the peple we've saved and their lved nes, I knw we're their heres. And that makes everything we d wrth it.9We want t d even mre, but we can't d it all alne. Will yu jin us as a vlunteer?
