frgive 作动词,意为“原谅;宽恕”。其过去式为frgave,过去分词为frgiven。frgive sb fr(ding)sth 意为“原谅某人做某事”;frgive sb sth意为“原谅某人某事”。

2. fault过错;责任
fault 意为“过错;责任”时,是不可数名词。
常见用法:1. be ne's fault fr ding sth 做某事是某人的过失2. It's sb's fault (that)... 某事是某人的错3. find fault with sb/sth 挑剔;找茬儿4. at fault 有责任

s that 意为“以便;为了”,在此处引导目的状语从句,相当于in rder that。
s that一般放在主句后,引导主句所表述动作的目的或动机(是一种可能性,而非事实),此时从句中常出现情态动词may、might、can、culd等。引导结果状语从句,意为“因此;所以”。

4. clear the air 尽释前嫌
clear the air(with sb)意为“(与某人)澄清事实,化解矛盾”;clear the air abut sth 意为“就某事消除误会”。

5. present 礼物
present 意为“礼物”,相当于gift,是可数名词。
n.“现在”,at present 现在,目前adj.“现在的”,仅用于名词前作定语“出席的;在场的”,修饰名词要后置V.“颁发;授予”
