Our thughts pass alng the Time-Dimensin frm the cradle t the grave.” The Psychlgist ndded. He agreed with the Medical Man, “Yu can mve abut in all directins f Space, but yu can’t mve abut in Time.”“Yu are wrng. Fr example, if I am remembering an event very clearly, I g back t the mment when it happened. I jump back fr a mment. Of curse, I can’t stay back fr lng. But if a man can g up in a balln, why shuldn’t he stp r speed up alng the Time-Dimensin, r even travel the ther way?” “Oh, this,” began Filby, “is all nnsense.”“Why nt?” said the Time Traveller. “It’s against reasn,” said Filby.“What reasn?” said the Time Traveller.“Yu can argue that black is white,” said Filby, “but yu will never make me believe.”“Pssibly nt,” said the Time Traveller. “But nw yu begin t see my reasn fr studying the Fur Dimensins.
