Yadvinder Malhi, an ecsystem eclgist at Oxfrd University, estimates trpical frests are respnsible fr arund 34 percent f phtsynthesis ccurring n land. Based n its size, the Amazn wuld accunt fr abut half f that, which means the Amazn generates arund 17 percent f xygen prduced n land.
The xygen we breathe is the gift f planktn (浮游生物)in the cean that have ver billins f years steadily accumulated xygen that made the atmsphere breathable.
