Hwever, they play a psitive rle in helping peple understand the authentic Hanfu shwn at places like museums, which may nt suit mdern tastes and lifestyles.
In a cnversatin, Yang explained that the prcess f dressing up in Hanfu and having makeup dne was nt cmplicated (复杂的). It begins with selecting the desired style f clthing, fllwed by turning t makeup artists fr the perfect lk, which typically takes abut an hur. The individualizatin f makeup and styling is based n the custmer’s preferences and facial features. Yang said, “We prvide many styles, meeting each individual’s preferences.”
“The stre has gained praise fr its unique fferings, attracting visitrs nt nly frm different parts f China but als frm cuntries such as Suth Krea, Russia and Nigeria. Yang recalled an example when visitrs frm Nigeria even live-streamed (网络直播) their experiences, intrducing Hanfu t their audience. “Fr freigners, Hanfu hlds a mysterius attractin,” Yang said. “When we intrduce different styles f clthing frm different dynasties, they listen attentively, shwing a great interest in traditinal Chinese culture.”

Prtein is imprtant fr maintaining muscle and health. Fr a healthy persn, a daily intake f 0.83 grams per kilgram (g/kg) f bdy weight is recmmended by the Wrld Health Organizatin (WHO).
A reprt published in 2025 suggests that the elderly shuld eat mre prtein, since muscles weaken with age and lder bdies are less efficient at taking in prtein. An intake clser t 1.2 g/kg, tgether with strength training, can help limit muscle lss in lder peple. Pregnant (怀孕的) wmen need t duble the recmmended amunt t feed their babies. Fr thse wanting t build muscles, the WHO has recmmended a daily intake f between 1.4 g/kg and 2 g/kg. Hwever, eating mre than 1.6 g/kg des nt lead t further muscle grwth.
Where shuld the prtein cme frm? Prtein pwders (粉末) are ppular since having prtein as a drink is mre cnvenient than biting n beef. Research finds that prtein pwders are especially gd at building muscles fr exercising adults. But the pwders wn’t ffer muscle n their wn: The best results cme in thse wh als lift heavy in the gym. Yet supprters f a traditinal balanced diet argue that because prtein pwders cntain much sugar and ther add-ins, they are less healthy than fd-based prtein. Eating whle fds may be a better way t build muscles after a wrkut, because f the rich micr-nutrients (微量营养素)
Fllwers f a Western diet, rich in meat and milk prducts, usually veruse the regular prtein requirements. Sme experts warn f the ptential fr stmach damage, but a 2024 research pinted ut that this was nly a wrry fr peple with existing stmach truble. The greater risk may cme frm prtein-rich diets which depend heavily n red meat and sme fds that cntain harmful fats. Anyway, in places where fd is rich, measuring yur prtein by the gram may nt be wrth it. Unless yu’re lking t build muscles, a regular diet is enugh.

Accrding t the recent research, plants in Eurpe phtsynthesize (光合作用) mre at the weekend, prbably because there is less pllutin in the air. Phtsynthesis is hw green plants use sunlight t make sugars frm carbn dixide (CO₂) and water, giving ff xygen in the prcess.
With increasing air pllutin frm wildfires, dust and human activities in recent years, Iris Blm at the Carnegie Institutin fr Science in Califrnia and her teammate’s wanted t see what effect air quality has n phtsynthesis.

The findings suggest that reducing aersl levels, especially thse frm transprt r industrial prcesses, culd allw plants t cllect and stre mre carbn. “Imprving air quality is nt nly beneficial t peple’s health, but als very gd fr ecsystem prductivity and the verall health f ur planet,” says Iris.
9. Why did the team d the research?
A. T cntrl the level f aersls in the air.
B. T reduce air pllutin f human activities.
C. T determine the amunt f light prduced by plants.
D. T examine the influence f air quality n phtsynthesis.
10. Hw did the team make the discvery?
A. By bserving plant grwth. B. By studying histrical recrds.
C. By building cmputer mdels. D. By cmparing measurement data.
11. What can be inferred abut aersl in Paragraph 4?
A. It destrys leaves n plants.
B. It becmes heavier at weekends.
C. It blcks sunlight fr phtsynthesis.
D. It imprves the ability f phtsynthesis.
12. What is the authr’s purpse in writing the text?
A. T describe side effects f traffic.
B. T seek ways f reducing pllutin.
C. T prmte imprvement f air quality.
D. T intrduce the functin f phtsynthesis.
