      Cui Chenxi, 14, finished the Wmen’s Skatebarding Street Final (滑板女子街式决赛) in the furth place at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics n July 28th. The sprt was first played three years ag in Tky. And it is China’s best result f this sprt.

      One lazy afternn in a library, I fund a bk called The Last Days f Old Beijing by US writer Michael Meyer. The bk caught my eye and made me think abut my hme city, Beijing, and its past.
      Meyer’s writing takes us back t Beijing abut 20 years ag. In 2005, Meyer mved int Dashilan, ne f Beijing’s ldest neighbrhds, n ne f its hutngs.
