20th March is a special day It’s the Internatinal Day f Happiness! The United Natins (UN) made this day t remind everyne that being happy is imprtant.
The idea fr this day came frm an Asian cuntry called Bhutan. Leaders f the cuntry wanted t knw hw happy its peple were. S, they created the Grss Natinal Happiness (GNH) Index (国民幸福指数) and did its first GNH survey (民意调查) in 2008 t measure (衡量) the happiness f its peple.
Bhutan’s interest in happiness caught the wrld’s attentin. Then the UN agreed in 2012 t create the Internatinal Day f Happiness. It chse 20th March as the date and began celebrating it in 2013.
Peple get jy frm many things like friends, family, gd health and a clean envirnment. Every year n 20th March, the Wrld Happiness Reprt cmes ut t shw what makes peple happy and hw happy peple are in different cuntries arund the wrld.
