Using the James Webb Space Telescpe (JWST), astrnmers have discvered a faint surce f infrared light in a dust-rich disk surrunding a yung star named TWA 7, lcated abut 111 light-years frm the Earth. This surce is believed t be an explanet, and if cnfirmed, it wuld represent the telescpe’s first direct identificatin f a planet utside ur slar system.
Traditinally, mst knwn explanets have been fund by using indirect methds, such as bserving the faint reductin in light frm a star when a planet passes in frnt f it. Hwever, in a recent study published in the jurnal Nature, researchers have reprted the first instance f the JWST capturing an image f an explanet directly. Imaging distant planets is s challenging. They are ften utshne by their hst stars. Anne-Marie Lagrange, the lead authr f the study, explains that the brightness f the star makes it difficult t see the faint planet.
T vercme this challenge, the team used the JWST’s crnagraph (日冕仪), an instrument designed t blck ut the intense light frm stars, allwing fainter bjects t be detected mre easily. After prcessing the images t reduce the remaining bright light, the JWST revealed a faint infrared surce near TWA 7. While there is a small chance that this surce culd be a backgrund galaxy, the researchers believe that the evidence strngly supprts the existence f a new explanet, named TWA 7 b, which is estimated t have a mass similar t that f Saturn.
This discvery is significant because it culd be the first time a planet is directly linked t the frmatin f a dust-rich disk arund a star. The researchers als ran cmputer simulatins that matched the telescpe’s images, further cnfirming their findings. C-authr Mathilde Malin says that this discvery f curse enhances ur understanding f planetary systems, including ur wn, and pens new avenues fr explring the diversity f explanets and their frmatin prcesses.
24.What is the discvery by using the JWST?
      A. An empty disk in the universe.
      B. An extra 111-year-ld star in space.
      C. A ptential planet beynd ur slar system.
      D. A new ray f blindingly bright light frm a galaxy.
25.Why is it difficult t image distant explanets?
      A. Their hst stars are t bright.
      B. They are far frm their hst stars.
      C. They never pass in frnt f their stars.
      D. Telescpes cannt detect their hst stars.
26.What is paragraph 3 mainly abut?
      A. The frmatin f TWA 7.B. The structure f crnagraph.
      C. The images created by the JWST.D. The methds fr detecting TWA 7 b.

Stephen Hawking believed humans must mve int space t survive. “Once we spread ut int space and establish independent clnies, ur future shuld be safe.” he said. One f the main gals f terrafrming Mars is t warm it up because the average temperature there is abut -60℃. One idea fr warming Mars is t build factries there that prduce greenhuse gases. This culd take many centuries. Hwever, it shuld lead t rainfall and the grwth f plants, resulting in mre air that peple can breathe.
Anther big cncern fr scientists is whether humans can mve t Mars and still stay healthy in mind and bdy. As a test, six peple lived in a Mars-like envirnment in Hawaii fr a year befre “returning t Earth” recently. It was a 1,200-square-ft rm that was n the side f a vlcan and used the sun fr energy. Christiane Heinicke, ne f the peple wh lived there, said that ne f the biggest issues was feeling bred. S humans n Mars wuld always need t keep themselves busy with varius activities. Anther imprtant finding was that the peple living tgether shuld all be able t get alng and wrk tgether.
One particular rganizatin based in Eurpe is planning t send the first humans t Mars befre 2030.The rganizatin believes that its prject is giving peple wrldwide the chance t be part f the first human crew ever t live n Mars fr gd. Hwever, many experts think the prject’s cst f US $6 billin is t lw fr it t be successful. The American space agency NASA believes that sending peple t Mars wuld cst abut US $100 billin, althugh this estimate is based n bringing them back t Earth, t. Regardless, it seems that humans living n Mars may well happen a lt sner than mst peple believe.
      28.Why chse Mars first?
      A. It has n extreme cld.
      B. It’s fit fr quick terrafrming.
      C. It helps study human adaptability.
      D. It’s clser than ther planets.
      29.What wrries scientists mst?
      A. Greenhuse gas shrtageB. Human physical/mental health
      C. Lack f funding fr factriesD. Vlcanes n Mars’ surface
30.What is the cnnectin between Hawaii test and Mars life?
      A. Bth need sun energy use
      B. Bth require team cperatin
      C. Bth have 1,200-square-ft space
      D. Bth last exactly ne year
31.Hw is the 2030 Mars plan viewed?
      A. Cst estimate is t lw.B. It can finish terrafrming first.
      C. NASA will fund it fully.D. It ignres health risks.
