On Mnday, peple acrss Kenya tk part in the cuntry’s first natinal tree-planting hliday. The hliday was created by Kenya’s president, William Rut, t encurage peple t plant trees as part f a plan t fight the climate crisis (危机).

The gvernment created a special app t help rganize the tree planting. The app is called JazaMiti, which means “fill with trees” in Swahili. Participants in the study were asked t rate(评估) hw curius they were t find ut the answer t a specific questin, such as “What des the term ‘dinsaur’ actually mean?” They were then placed in a magnetic resnance machine (磁共振机) that measures brain activity n the basis f changes in the bld flw when the brain is carrying ut certain tasks. The mst surprising was that participants had greater recall f the cmpletely irrelevant infrmatin—such as the face—shwn at the same time. Secndly, when curisity was encuraged, the research fund that there was increased activity in the regin f the brain related t memry.
