询问这/那是什么的句型“What’s this/that?”
1.问句“What’s this/that?”是what引导的特殊 疑问句，意为“这/那是什么？”
2.回答时，用“It’s a/an+单个物.”直接回答， 不用Yes或N回答。
—What’s this?—It’s a fx.
What’s=What is。
this指代距离说话人近的单个物。
It’s=It is。It指代问句中的this。
fx是发音以辅音音素开头的单词，所以前面的不定冠词要用a。

It’s a red panda.

This is Miss White. 这是怀特老师。
用于未婚女子的姓氏或姓名前。
Miss 中的M 要大写。

Pandas are black and white.大熊猫是黑白色的。
That is a red panda.那是一只小熊猫。
panda一般指大熊猫，等同于giant panda。red panda指小熊猫，是另外一种动物。

My sister is cute. 我的妹妹很可爱。
“this” and “that”
this和that是指示代词，分别翻译为“这个”和“那个”，都表示单个人或物。this指代较远的人或物，that指代较近的人或物。
