      I saw them again by the river. They sat n a bench enjying their snacks in frnt f a lng, narrw riverbat named Vyageur, which had dcked (停靠码头) earlier. Then they barded the bat. It was preparing t leave. As the ship started t pull away, I sptted a clrful shpping bag n the bench. The girl had left it!
      I lked up. Sme passengers were gathering n the upper deck f the riverbat, including the girl and her mm.
      I held up the bag and waved it t get their attentin while Gabriel called t them.
      When the girl nticed the bag, she pened her muth in surprise. But her face fell as the bat started t pull away frm the dck. She didn’t think she’d get her stuff back.
      “Maybe we can thrw it t her, Hug! ” Gabriel said.
      “It’s t light,” I said. “It wuld end up in the river. We have t find a way t return it! ”
