I have n intentin f lking dwn n business, yet it simply didn’t suit me. Initially, I entered the
business wrld fr financial gain. Besides being able t supprt my family, mney was all I gt frm it. It
failed t bring me a sense f fulfillment, which made me immersed in dissatisfactin and even suffering
frm trture and pain. My ne ambitin was t save enugh mney t quit and g t Eurpe t pursue my
      passin fr music.
During that perid, I wuld rise at dawn t practice playing the vilin befre heading t wrk. At
nn, instead f having lunch with my business assciates, I wuld frequent cheap cafes, where I had a
quick meal and wrte dwn sme vilin exercises. After a lng time f such effrts, I finally managed t
save enugh mney. As my family’s financial situatin had imprved and they n lnger required my

prisn, and sn I set sail fr Eurpe t pursue my dream.

have ever imagined, every single mment was a surce f jy. “Enjyed” is far t mild a wrd t describe
my feelings; I was truly n clud nine. Fr the first time, I felt that I was truly living, engaged in what I
lved and was meant t d.
If I had remained in business, perhaps I wuld be a relatively wealthy persn tday. Nevertheless, I
firmly believe that I wuld nt have achieved a truly successful life. I wuld have given up all thse
intangible rewards, thse inner satisfactins that mney can never purchase, and that are ften sacrificed
when ne’s main pursuit is financial success.
Quitting my jb went against the advice f nearly all my friends and family. We are s cnditined t
link success with mney that the idea f giving up a well-paid jb fr a dream seemed almst crazy. If s,
all I can say is “Gee, it’s great t be crazy.”
Mney is a wnderful thing, but it’s pssible t pay t high a price fr it.
24.Why did the authr g int business?
A.Because he hadn’t identified his passin.
B.Because he was immersed in dissatisfactin.
C.Because he had t earn mney and help his family.
D.Because he had n intentin f lking dwn n it.
25.Which can best replace the underlined wrd “intangible” in paragraph 4?
      A.Invisible. B.Painful. C.Accessible. D.Pssible.

Sugar-free ckies, reduced-sugar cereal, sugar-free candy, diet sda... are these better fr yu?
Since sugar became a tab (禁忌) in the nutritin and wellness wrld, sugar-free fd items and drinks

      nthing real t prcess.
A gd rule f thumb: stay away frm artificial sweeteners and lk fr nn-sugar, natural
sweeteners like Stevia r date sugar. In the war against artificial sweeteners and real sugar, bth lse.
Satisfy yur sweet tth with natural sugars that cme frm fruits and stay away frm prducts claiming t

The glbal success f Chinese apps like TikTk, RedNte (Xiahngshu), and AI mdels like
DeepSeek highlights a surprising trend: China is gaining cultural influence amng yung Americans, nt
just in technlgy but als in creating appealing nline experiences.
China’s Internet actually is cl. Chinese prducts and services have an increasing riginality,
especially Chinese apps, which stand ut fr their creativity. TikTk, used by ver half f Americans, ffers
engaging cntent that feels mre dynamic than U.S. platfrms. Its mix f humr, creativity, and slight

While relatinship dminates headlines, rdinary interactins tell a different stry. On
RedNte, American and Chinese users bnd ver shared interests like cking r fashin. DeepSeek’s fair
answers n American tpics build trust. These cnnectins prve cultural gaps aren’t unbridgeable.
Actually, China’s tech success isn’t just abut hardware r data — it’s abut creating prducts that
resnate (共鸣) emtinally. Fr American yuth seeking nvelty, China’s Internet culture ffers smething
refreshingly different. This cultural shift, paired with technlgical advances, psitins China as a unique
      party in shaping glbal trends.
32.Why are yung Americans drawn t TikTk?
A.They shw deeper interest in Chinese culture.
B.They want t break away frm traditinal nrms.
C.They prefer instructins n fashin and cking.
D.They eagerly want t catch up with the fashin.
33.What can be inferred frm the successful case f Deepseek in America?
A.Parents’ preferences ptentially psitively affect the yuth.
B.Eurpe’s steady cultural influence has changed users’ chice.
C.Ecnmic pwer has helped China stand higher in the wrld.
D.Few users take price int cnsideratin when cnsidering apps.
34.What des the authr cnvey in the last tw paragraphs?
A.Chinese apps has bridged cultural gaps.
B.Users f Deepseek share cmmn interests.
C.China’s influence relies n hardware innvatin.
D.Chinese apps pen a windw fr American yuth.

35.What’s the best title f the passage?
      A.Hw Did China’s Internet Becme S Cl?
B.China Is Shaping The Cultural Shift Glbally.
