In tday’s digital age, the way we read has undergne a prfund transfrmatin. E-bks and digital reading devices have becme increasingly ppular, leading many t questin the future f traditinal printed bks. A beautifully designed bk can be a wrk f art in itself, inviting readers t engage with the text n a deeper level. In cntrast, e-bks ften lack the visual and tactile elements that make printed bks s appealing. While e-bks can be custmized t sme extent, the verall reading experience is ften mre utilitarian.
Anther imprtant factr is the rle f printed bks in creating a sense f cmmunity. Bkstres, libraries, and bk clubs are all places where peple cme tgether t share their lve f reading. These physical spaces prvide pprtunities fr scial interactin and the exchange f ideas. When yu visit a bkstre, yu might stumble upn a new bk that yu wuldn’t have discvered nline. Yu can engage in cnversatins with ther bk lvers, share recmmendatins, and participate in bk discussins. Printed bks, in this way, act as a catalyst fr scial cnnectin and cultural exchange.
Despite the rise f digital reading, printed bks cntinue t hld their wn. They ffer a tangible, aesthetic, and cmmunal reading experience that many readers find irreplaceable. As we navigate the digital age, it’s imprtant t recgnize the value f bth digital and printed reading, and t embrace the diversity f reading experiences available t us.
32. Accrding t the study at the University f Stavanger, why are readers f printed bks better at recalling the sequence f events??
A. Because they are mre accustmed t reading printed materials.
B. Due t the physical markers in printed bks helping with mental mapping.
C. As printed bks prvide a mre immersive reading envirnment.
D. Since readers f printed bks have better memry abilities.
33. What des the authr think f the aesthetic appeal f printed bks?
A. It is verrated and nt imprtant fr reading.
B. It is the main reasn fr the survival f printed bks.
C. It cntributes t a deeper engagement with the text.
D. It can be easily replicated in e-bks with mdern technlgy.
34. What can be inferred frm the passage abut the rle f printed bks in cmmunity?
A. Printed bks will sn be replaced by digital reading in cmmunity activities.
B. Bkstres and libraries are the nly places fr peple t share their lve f reading.
C. Printed bks play a passive rle in creating a sense f cmmunity.
D. The scial interactin arund printed bks can’t be achieved thrugh digital reading.
35. What is the main idea f the passage?
A. Printed bks have unique advantages and will nt disappear.
B. Printed bks are facing fierce cmpetitin frm e-bks.
C. Digital reading is becming mre and mre ppular.
D. Peple shuld chse printed bks ver digital reading.
【答案】32. B 33. C 34. D 35. A
