      finish vt. finish ding sth.:表示完成某事,后面接动名词形式。eg:Please finish writing the letter befre yu leave.(请在离开前写完这封信。)They finished building the bridge last year.(他们去年建完了这座桥。)注意:不能说“finish t d sth.”,这是错误的表达。
      practice vt. practice + 动名词(ding sth.):表示“练习做某事”,后面必须接动名词形式。eg:I practice playing the pian every day.(我每天练习弹钢琴。)They practice speaking English in the mrning.(他们在早上练习说英语。)注意:不能说“practice t d sth.”,这是错误的表达。
      practice n. 表示“练习”eg:Gd practice is imprtant fr learning a new language.(良好的练习对学习新语言很重要。)He has a lt f practice in writing.(他在写作方面有很多练习。)常用搭配:Practice makes perfect.熟能生巧 put ... int practice 把……付诸实践
      awful:adj.表示“糟糕的”“可怕的”“令人讨厌的”或“极坏的”,常用于描述事物或情况。eg:It was an awful film.(那是一部糟糕的电影。)The smell was abslutely awful.(味道难闻极了。)
      awful:adv.表示“非常”“极其”,常用于口语中。eg:She's awful cute.(她非常可爱。)
      词义辨析:Awful:强调“令人敬畏”或“令人害怕”,带有感情色彩。Terrible:侧重“给人以长久的惊骇”。Dreadful:指“使人非常恐惧”。
      becme 连系动词,表示“变成……”“成为……”,后面常接形容词、名词或介词短语,表示状态的变化。eg:The weather becmes warmer in spring.(春天天气变得暖和了。)He became a famus writer when he was yung.(他年轻时成为了一名著名作家。)He became a member f the club last year.(去年他成为了俱乐部的成员。)
      “becme”与“get”“turn”的辨析becme:强调“变成……”“处于某种状态”,通常用于比较正式的语境。Get:也可以表示“变得……”,但语气更口语化。eg:He became angry.(他变得生气了。) He gt angry.(他生气了。)Turn:表示“变成……”,常用于表示颜色或性质的变化。eg:The leaves turn yellw in autumn.(秋天树叶变黄了。) She turned pale when she heard the news.(听到这个消息时,她脸色变得苍白。)
      respect vt.respect sb. fr sth.:因某事而尊敬某人。例句:I respect him fr his hnesty.(我尊敬他,因为他很诚实。)
      Respect n.表示“尊重”“敬意”或“尊敬”,常用于以下几种结构:不可数名词[U]:表示“尊重”或“敬意”。eg:He gained the respect f his clleagues.(他赢得了同事们的尊重。)可数名词[C](复数形式):表示“问候”或“敬意”。eg:Please send my respects t yur parents.(请代我向你的父母问好。)固定搭配:in respect f:就……而言 eg:In respect f his achievements, he was highly praised.with respect t:关于……。 eg:With respect t the meeting, we need t prepare well.
      fcus n表示“专注于……”或“集中精力于……”,后面接名词、代词或动名词。eg:Yu shuld fcus n yur studies.(你应该专注于你的学习。)He fcused n playing the pian.(他专注于弹钢琴。)
      常考短语:fcus ne's attentin n 表示“把注意力集中在……上”eg:He fcused all his attentin n his research.(他把所有注意力都集中在了他的研究上。)fcus than... 表示“专注于……而不是……”eg:We shuld fcus n ur strengths rather than ur weaknesses.(我们应该专注于我们的长处,而不是短处。)fcus f... 表示“专注于……而不是……”eg:Fcus n yur hmewrk instead f watching TV.(专注于你的作业,而不是看电视。)
      短语辨析:Fcus n:强调“集中精力于……”,语气较强,常用于正式场合。Pay attentin t:表示“注意……”,语气较轻,常用于日常表达。Cncentrate n:表示“集中精力于……”,与“fcus n”意思相近,但更强调“集中精力”。Devte neself t:表示“致力于……”,常用于长期的目标或事业。
      think abut 表示“考虑”“思考”或“想起”,后面可以接名词、代词、动名词或从句。eg:I need t think abut the prblem.(我需要考虑一下这个问题。)He is thinking abut buying a new car.(他在考虑买一辆新车。)I think abut hw t slve the prblem.(我在考虑如何解决这个问题。)
      (1)think f表示“想起”“认为”或“考虑”,与“think abut”意思相近,但更侧重于“想起”。eg:I think f my hmetwn whenever I see the mn.(每当我看到月亮,我就会想起我的家乡。)What d yu think f the mvie?(你觉得这部电影怎么样?)(2)think ver表示“仔细考虑”,语气比“think abut”更强。eg:Yu shuld think ver the prpsal carefully.(你应该仔细考虑这个提议。)(3)think thrugh表示“彻底思考”或“深思熟虑”。eg:He needs t think thrugh his plan befre taking actin.(他需要在采取行动前彻底思考他的计划。)
      注意英美用法差异在英国英语中,“at weekends”是常用表达,而在美国英语中,也可以用“n weekends”或直接用“weekends”作为副词。例如:英式:We g hiking at weekends.(我们在周末去远足。)美式:We g hiking n weekends.(我们在周末去远足。)
       adj.①表示“困难的”,eg:This prblem is very hard. ②表示“硬的”eg:The bench is t hard t sit n. ③表示“严厉的”或“费力的”eg:He has a hard face.
       adv. ①表示“努力地”,eg:Yu must wrk hard t achieve yur gals. ②表示“猛烈地”, eg: It is raining hard utside.
       固定搭配It’s hard fr sb. t d sth.:表示“做某事对某人来说很难”。例如:It’s hard fr me t finish this task in an hur.have a hard time ding sth.:表示“做某事有困难”。例如:He had a hard time passing the exam.(
       与“hardly”辨析 “hardly”是副词,意思是“几乎不”,表示否定,不能与“hard”混淆。例如:He wrks hard.(他努力工作。) He hardly wrks.(他几乎不工作。)
