During ur final part f the term studying theater and perfrmance at the University f Leeds, I fund myself standing utside Berkeley Curt care hme n a rainy afternn with three curse mates and an underdevelped idea. We planned t d sensry stimulatin wrkshps with the residents living with dementia (痴呆), in an attempt t inspire memry and scial engagement.
I had a CD player under my arm because we had decided t play music at the end f the prgram. If the average age f the residents was abut 80, I thught they prbably wuld have been listening t Frank Sinatra in their late 20s. We went with My Way because we all recgnized it was energetic enugh.

It includes cmmn trypphbia reactins like “feel like panicking” r “feel sick”.
The researchers discvered that thse wh had already heard f trypphbia were mre upset by images f crwded small hles and were mre likely t be trypphbia. Their results supprt the idea that trypphbia is a scially learned fear, rather than smething we are brn with.
Trypphbia is nt yet a medically recgnized cnditin, but since it was first studied in 2013 it has spread widely n the internet.
