Unfrtunately, slid infrmatin is hard t cme by. Daniel Parisi, the paper’s lead authr, realised that the Pamplna bull-runs ffered the perfect natural experiment.
Dr Parisi and his team went t tw different rftp lcatins in Pamplna in July 2019, and filmed the runners as the animals were released, Later in the lab, they calculated the speed f the runners, the density (密度) f the crwd, the prbability f a runner tripping and falling and the relatinship between runner-grup density and speed.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the researchers fund that runners picked up speed when the bulls drew near.
