    教学目标
    1.This tpic What’s the Matter? Refers t sme rgans f bdy have prblems and accidents smetimes happened t peple. On the basic f the names f different parts f bdy, students will learn mre abut the matter f the health: which part f the bdy gets ill and als cme aruse the sentence pattern f giving advice by using mdal verbs “shuld” and “shuldn’t”.
    2.Thrugh the prgressin f step by step, prject English is t build students’ cnfidence, make language learning mtivating and successful. What’s mre, students can actively relate learning t their persnal lives.

    Get a better mastery f wrds which refer t the parts f the bdy.
    Talk abut sme health prblems f bdy r accidents freely.
    Apply t give advice t thers by using mdel verbs “shuld” and “shuldn’t”.

    1. Make a cnversatin between the dctr and the patients.
    教学过程
    Step I
    Shw the teaching and learning targets t students t let them knw what the fcus and difficult pints in this perid.
    Then, shw students sme pictures abut health prblems and accidents arund them and ask them, “When yu see these health prblems and accidents happened, what shuld yu d? D yu want t be the warm-hearted persn?” The students certainly answer “Yes.” S, the teacher can advise them t set up a vlunteering health center t help thers. Then the teacher can intrduce tday’s learning steps t the students. It includes fur steps. They are “name the parts f the bdy, express the health prblems and accidents, give advice and d sme tests”. If students finish these fur steps successfully, they can be qualified vlunteering dctrs.
    Step II
    Name the parts f the bdy.
    Shw a picture f a man. Let students speak ut the names f the bdy parts ne by ne. Crrect their prnunciatins and read all the wrds tgether. Then, d the Bing Game by saying the whle sentences. Students shuld use the bdy parts’ name t fill in the blanks. Next, let students mve their bdies by fllwing the teacher t chant. Let students cnslidate vcabularies in a pleasant circumstance.
    Step III
    Express the health prblems and accidents.
    Shw tw pictures f Susan and Jenny. Tell students that they are the teacher’s friends. They have smething wrng with them. Listen t what happened t them.
    Help students t find that this listening material shws sme expressins like “have a tthache, cut ne’s finger, eat t much” abut the health prblems and accidents. Let them think abut the phrases abut health prblems and accidents n the textbks. Try their best t write mre phrases dwn n their mind-map paper in 3 minutes. The teacher can shw students sme pictures t give them the hints.
    Later, the teacher shws mre phrases t students. These phrases shuld be classified int tw clumns abut health prblems and accidents. Mrever, the teacher can lead students t bserve these phrases and summarize sme regular patterns.
    Shw students a picture and say, “This girl has a bad stmachache. S hw d we ask her present situatin?” Students surely answer, “What’s the matter with yu?” then, guide them t cllect the similar questin sentences like “ What’s wrng? / What’s the truble? / What’s the prblem? / What happened t yu?”.
    Play a guessing game. Let students lk at the pictures which are cvered by a small part. Ask and answer by using different questining sentences. Try t guess what happened t peple belw n the pictures.
    Step IV
    Give advice.
    Shw a by wh has a nsebleed. Ask students hw t give him advice?
    Then, shw a vide t them befre answering this questin. Let them watch this vide carefully and try t remember the answers by filling the blanks belw.

    Then, _________________________.
    Last, ________________________________________.
    After watching and thinking abut it, students can summarize hw t give advice. They can use mdal verbs “shuld” and “shuldn’t” t tell thers what t d and what nt t d. Mrever, if they want t give mre than ne piece f advice, they can als use cnjunctins which indicate rder, like first, next, then, and last.
    Let students think abut hw t give advice t the patients. Make a list abut mre phrases n mind-map paper in 3 minutes. Later, the teacher adds mre phrases t students n the basic f students’ lists. Give them anther tw minutes t remember all f these phereses.
    Let students try t give their advice t peple wh have smething wrng with them. They shuld remember the rules.
    1. Talk abut all the situatins n the pictures.
    2. Use “shuld” r “shuldn’t”.
    3. Try t give mre than ne piece f advice.
    Check the students randmly.
    Step V
    D sme tests.
    Test 1: Put these questins and answers in rder t make a cnversatin.
    Test 2: Fill in the blanks t make a cnversatin.
    Step VI
    Write dwn the cnversatin between a dctr and patients.
    After these fur steps, students can be the qualified vlunteering dctrs. Let them give it a try. Befre this, shw a vide. Frm this vide, students shuld think abut and share their pinins abut
    hw a dctr shuld treat their patients. Then the teacher can analyze this prcess. Part 1: The dctr shuld ask the patients abut his r her physical cnditins. That means the dctr shuld knw what kind f illness the patients had. And the patients had better describe their situatins and reasns why they gt prblems in details. Part 2: The dctr shuld take the actin first. Part 3: The dctr gives advice by using “shuld” and “shuldn’t”.
    Give students enugh time t prepare their wn cnversatins. In the cnversatin, ne student is a dctr and the thers are the patients. They can use the target language in this perid which are given t them by a sample.
    Step VII
    Students finish their mind-maps accrding t this perid. The teacher can tell them that there are a lt f peple like yung children, left-behind ld peple wh have health prblems and accidents and sick peple wh are infected by nvel crnavirus. They need help. The teacher shuld carry ut emtin sublimatin t students here. Lead them t be a warm-hearted persn and a useful man.
    Step VIII
    Hmewrk.
    Cmplete yur phrases abut health prblems, accidents and giving advice n yur mind-map paper.
    Finish yur cnversatin between the dctr and the patients and write it dwn.
