German scientist Siegfried Fink first created transparent wd in the year 1992, and ver the past three decades it has been significantly imprved by ther researchers as well.
In its natural frm, wd is nt transparent. Hwever, researchers have fund that remving lignin, a naturally ccurring biplymer that prvides structural supprt fr the plant tissue, can make it transparent. T d s, the wd is saked in a warm slutin cnsisting f multiple chemicals, fllwed by biling it in anther slutin. This remves the lignin cmpletely and turns the wd white.
