He’s an empathetic writer, but als ne with a real gift fr explaining the tugh issues — ecnmic, scientific and plitical — that make the climate crisis and its effect n the ppulatin s cmplex.
Climate change is affecting nt nly the U.S., but the whle wrld, and if yu are itching fr mre n the situatin, this bk really is a must-read.

Nw, it seemed, he was nthing.
Frank rubbed his wn eyes. He still remembered his stmach chilling int a frzen knt as he apprached the lcker rm last mnth. Instantly, the wrd “invisible” ppped int Frank’s mind again--an invisible persn, marginal, frgtten by sciety, but fr a different reasn. It was then that he made a quick decisin.Ultimately, the bus stpped at the end f the line.
Para2: Frank waited until everyne else had emptied ff. Casting ne last lk at his new Nike shes, withut delay, Frank remved them and made his way quickly t the wman. “Here, lady, yu need these mre than I d.” Frank said in a silky tne, then hurried t the dr and stepped dwn. Fixing her eyes n the shes, the lady exclaimed “they fit me just perfect” with heartfelt gratitude, eyes glistening with held-back tears. A bright smile spread ver Frank’s face despite anther three blcks t g in the snw. It seemed t him that the grayness had lifted. On the way hme, he hardly felt the cld beneath his feet at all. It is the act f reaching ut t a stranger t give pleasure t a single heart that warms the freezing winter.
