e.g. While Jim was mending his bike, Lin Ta came t see him. 正当吉姆修自行车时，林涛来看他。 Yu can’t d yur hmewrk while yu’re watching TV. 你不能一边看电视一边做家庭作业。 when既可表示某一点时间，也可以表示某一段时 间 。在when引导的时间状语从句中，其谓语动词 可以是延续性的，也可以是非延续性的，可与主句 中的谓语动词同时发生，也可在其后发生。 　
e.g. I was just reading a bk when she came int my rm. 她走进我房间时，我正在看书。 Were yu writing a letter when the teacher came in? 老师进来的时候，你在写信吗？ when和while的区别还在于：while引导的时间状语从句多用进行时态，而when引导的时间状语从句多用一般时态。 e.g. While they were talking , the bell rang. 在他们谈话的时候，铃响了。 I was ding my hmewrk when my mther came back hme yesterday evening. 昨天晚上妈妈回家的时候，我正在做家庭作业。
appear v. 出现；显露 rund prep. 转到（某物的）另一边 e.g. The by suddenly appeared frm under the bed. 小男孩突然从床下钻出来。 He walked rund the crner int the next street. 他走过拐角，到了另一条街上。
4. The car stpped just in time, but the by fell ff his bike and hurt his knee. in time表示“及时”，just强调“刚刚，正好” 。表达“及时做某事”可以用in time t d sth. e.g. If we dn’t hurry up, we wn’t be in time t catch the train. 如果不抓紧时间的话，我们就来 不及赶上火车了。
fell是fall的过去式。fall ff表示“从……跌落”。e.g. He fell ff the tree and hurt his leg. 他从树上跌落，摔伤了腿。fall dwn表示“摔倒”。e.g. Yu must watch yur step s as nt t fall dwn. 你必须留心脚下才不会跌下去。
