When I first started t wrk n this stry, I thught maybe I shuldn’t d it. I thught yu might see that I have Dwn syndrme (唐氏综合征), and that yu wuldn’t like me. My mm thinks that’s silly. When peple ask me what Dwn syndrme is, I tell them it’s an intellectual disability (智力残疾) that makes it harder fr me t learn things.
I just want t be like everyne else. But having Dwn syndrme is what makes me “me”. And I’m prud f wh I am. I’m a hard wrker, a gd persn, and I care abut my friends.

Even thugh I have Dwn syndrme, my life is a lt like yurs. I read bks and watch TV. I listen t music with my friends. I’m n the swim team and in chrus (合唱队) at schl.
