(2024·广东深圳·三模)It was a sunny Sunday afternn. My husband was taking care f ur baby girl s that my six-year-ld sn and I culd d sme yard wrk, just the tw f us. It was sure t be 21 . But sn, the cluds f msquits seemed 22 t ur bug spray (喷雾). I was sweating, itchy, and arguing with my sn abut hw t pull weeds. I had tld him the “right” way — getting thse weeds ut frm the bttm, by the rts, 23 them entirely.
Hwever, my sn went abut things in his wn way. He pulled the 24 f the weeds ff, mving quickly dwn the line as he left the remaining part still in the sil. Smehw, I fund this t be incredibly 25 . Why culdn’t he d it in my way and save me the time f having t 26 his prtin (部分)? Why did he d it at all if he wasn’t ging t d it prperly?
“If yu d as tld, we’d be dne earlier and 27 a lnger perid befre we wuld have t return and pull weeds next time,” I said, trying t keep my tne 28 .
He went back t his wrk, shaking dirt frm his handful f grwing things and thrwing 29 stems int ur shared basket. “Peple d things 30 , Mm,” he said inncently.
My fire sn faded, replaced by the 31 realizatin that I’d just received a valuable 32 frm the persn that I was suppsed t be teaching. While trying t 33 my baby girl, my kindergartener, and the yard wrk, 34 was a lifeline fr me. But my way was, perhaps, nt the best way after all. His time shuldn’t be 35 . His jb was t be a kid and take his time, fr as lng as he was able.

(2024·湖北黄冈·模拟预测)I was learning at Western University in Lndn when I was 20 years ld, and it was my third year there. I had 21 a curse in the Department f English taught by Dnald S. Hair.
A few weeks int the class, the prfessr 22 ur first test. I didn’t think I had anything t wrry abut — until he handed my exam back the fllwing week with a 67 written n it in red ink.
Sixty-seven! I’d never received such a lw mark. I was dependent n a 23 , and any grade belw 80 put my future in truble. My seatmate’s annyed expressin suggested her mark had been painful t. It 24 us: Prfessr Hair was an ld weird (怪人)! Hw dare he 25 ur GPAs? What was the ld by’s prblem, anyway?
But the real prblem was this: He was right. I knew it as sn as I’d 26 ff and taken the time t digest his 27 . My writing was careless, my understanding f key cncepts 28 . Like many f my partners, I was used t earning tp grades. Nw, fr the first time, a teacher had intrduced an uncmfrtable questin. Were we actually “ 29 ” them?
The next day, I went t his ffice. With burning cheeks, I tld him I knew I’d 30 the exam. T my 31 , he wasn’t a “weird” in the least. He was funny, warm and 32 patient. He assured me if I wrked hard, I’d achieve my 33 in the curse, and he’d be available t help me.
I went away, reading and reading sme mre. The mre I read, the mre interesting his classes became, and sn, his cmplex, absrbing lectures were the 34 f my week. I spared n effrt in that curse. The grade I earned in his class was the lwest I’d received that year. But I had earned that grade. Nearly 30 years later, I’m still 35 f that.
