The study als finds that test scres f ethnic minrities and girls are disprprtinately (不成比例地) impacted by PM2.5 levels. “Females and ethnic minrities face sexism and racism,” said Zang. “There are a lt f plicies that are nt friendly twards them. S, when they’re expsed t the same level f air pllutin, they dn’t have the resurces t lessen the negative influences.” Mre privileged ppulatins, hwever, might have mre resurces that allw them t live in a better envirnment, such as in huses with air purifiers.
“The level f PM2.5 pllutin in the US is relatively lw, but students living in areas belw the current air quality standard f annual PM2.5 cncentratin are still negatively impacted by air pllutin when it cmes t their test scres,” said Zang. “We shuld aim t strengthen the annual PM2.5 standard t better prtect ur children.”

Tday, petry and science are ften cnsidered t be mutually exclusive(互相排斥的)career paths. But that wasn't always the case. The mathematician Ada Lvelace and the physicist James Clerk Maxwell were bth accmplished pets. The pet Jhn Keats was a licensed surgen. Cmbining the tw practices fell ut f favur in the 1800s. But translating research int lyrics, haiku, and ther petic frms is resurging(再现)amng scientists as they lk fr alternative ways t inspire thers with their findings.

"It was a lt f fun, and surprisingly easy t write the pem," Mazn says. She plans t cntinue writing. "We d a disservice(伤害) t urselves t think that scientists can't be artistic and that art can't be used t cmmunicate scientific ideas," Mazn says.
That viewpint is eched by Illingwrth, wh thinks science cmmunicatin initiatives are t ften dminated by public lectures with their hands-ff PwerPint slides. “Actually, when science cmmunicatin invlves writing and sharing pems, it invites a tw-way dialgue between experts and nnexperts," he says. Scientist-pet Manjula Silva, an educatr at Imperial Cllege Lndn, agrees. "Petry prvides a way t translate cmplex scientific cncepts int a language that everyne can understand," Silva says.
Scientists and pets are bth trying t understand the wrld and cmmunicate that understanding with thers. The distinctin between scientists and pets is less than peple might think. We're all just peple with hpefully really interesting things t say and t share.

That viewpint is eched by Illingwrth, wh thinks science cmmunicatin initiatives are t ften dminated by public lectures with their hands-ff PwerPint slides. 故选A项。
    15.答案:A
故选A项。
    16.答案:EFBDG
解析:①根据上文“Yu feel that yu must d what they expect and that yu must meet their expectatins, therwise yu’ll lse their apprval.(你觉得你必须做他们期望的事情,你必须满足他们的期望,否则你会失去他们的认可。)”下文“ Then, yu’ll be able t d what yu want freely.(然后,你就可以自由地做你想做的事。)” E选项“If this is the case, it’s time t start wrking n yur self-esteem .(如果是这样的话,是时候开始培养你的自尊了。)”中,前半句“If this is the case, ”与上文一致,后半句“ it’s time t start wrking n yur self-esteem .”
②根据上文“Yu must lead yur life independently.(你必须自己独立地生活。)” 所以,F项“Yu must d what yu want withut being affected by what thers think.(你必须做自己想做的事,不要被别人的想法所影响。)”
③由本段的第一句“By surrunding yurself with peple wh think like yu, yu’ll realize that yu dn’t feel judged.(和你想法相同的人在一起,你会意识到你不会觉得自己被评判了。)”和空后的“Yur new friends will integrate int yur life and yu’ll als keep yur genuine friends.(你的新朋友会融入你的生活,你也会保持你真正的朋友。)”
④根据上文“T vercme yur fear f what thers think and f their nn-apprval, yu shuld start talking abut yur plans, Fr instance, yu might want t tell a handful f friends abut yur wishes and dreams.(为了克服你对别人想法和他们不赞成的恐惧,你应该开始谈论你的计划。 可知,下文是有关如何克服的句子,此外,和D选项“By talking t them, yu’ll be able t rganize yur plans and ideas.” 故选D。
⑤根据空前“It’s unavidable that nt everything will be plain sailing, and yu’ll find bstacles alng yur way. 所以,G项“Hwever, yu must trust in yurself and seek the necessary strength t mve frward.(然而,你必须相信自己,寻求力量继续前进。)”

根据上文during last Spring Festival hliday可知为一般过去时。
此处为短语be believed t d sth.
