“Mm, I dn’t want t be ut there.” Mary frwned. Feeling Mary was in a bad md, her mther asked her what was wrng in a sft vice. At that mment, Mary culdn’t help puring ut her trubles, “Withut a friend, I’m islated here.” Realizing she had ignred Mary’s feelings after the mve, her mther held Mary in her arms, suggesting that she make new friends by taking actin first. “G and take them sme ckies and say hell!” The instant Mary heard that, her eyes shne with a mixture f excitement and expectatin.
Mary put a handful f ckies int a small tray and left the kitchen. Nervus as she was, she plucked up curage t apprach the table where the twins sat, placing the ckies dwn carefully. She bravely lked at the girls directly in the eyes, “Thanks s much fr cming t ur restaurant!” It was nt until the twins lked up that they recgnized her. The twins gave her a big hug. They ffered t hang ut with her and intrduce her arund t the ther guys at schl. “That wuld be awesme!”, Mary grinned.

M: That was a really interesting article the tutr recmmended abut Ellen Ocha fr ur science cursewrk, wasn’t it?
W: It certainly was. I used t dream f ging int space when I was a kid. I fund it particularly interesting t read abut a spacewman. There aren’t t many f thse arund.
M: Yu’re right! I’m sure they are as able as men t deal with all the challenges f the jb. Ellen was special. She vercame all the difficulties with her determinatin t d what she’d wanted t d ever since she was small.
W: Abslutely. That’s why I admire her. The article als shws the requirements fr becming an astrnaut. It’s nt surprising that they want peple wh are gd at sprt and have crrespnding flight experience. But I’ve never imagined that yu need t have a graduate degree.
M: Yes. T achieve ur dream, we must try ur best t be qualified enugh. Anyway, living in space must be interesting.
W: Yes. Imagine walking in space and having t wrk inside and utside the capsule when yu’re weightless! That’s extrardinary. I think the mst interesting thing wuld be having t get used t the living habits there and deal with all the unexpected prblems that arise.
Text10:
I have been t many different types f weddings, and they are all memrable in their wn way. But I can’t remember a better ne than the wedding I attended in Nrthern Italy last summer. First f all, a little backgrund: the wedding was fr a gd friend f mine I met in university in England. After graduatin, we spent sme time in France, where he met his lvely girl that he was ging t marry. Tw years later, I was riding up the narrw streets that led t his hmetwn in the muntains. The first difference I nticed was there was n traditinal bachelr party. Instead, the family had a big dinner every day the week befre the wedding. They made everything themselves, even n the wedding day. This is unlike American weddings, where it is typical t hire a cmpany t d it. On the day f the wedding, there were tw ther nn-American traditins I liked. One: there were n lng, bring speeches! And tw: the cutting f the bridegrm’s tie. I knw it sunds like a jke, but it’s true! The family cuts the tie int little pieces, and then peple bid n them t raise mney fr the happy cuple! It was a lt f fun. It’s als fun t learn ther peple’s cultures and see them celebrate tgether. S, what is the mst rmantic wedding yu have attended like?
