Step 1 Lead-in

Step 3 While-listening
1. Listen and match
T: The Class 1, Grade 8 students are talking abut what they have read recently. Listen t them and match each student with the type and name f the bk they have heard. Yu can predict befre listening.
T: Listen and cmplete Part A1.
2. Learn the new wrds and phrases
T: Of all the bks, I like reading Harry Ptter best. Wh wrte the bk? (J. K. Rwling.)
She is a British writer and she is the writer f the Harry Ptter series. Harry Ptter series is a success and she is successful.
Harry Ptter series is abut Harry Ptter’s stries in a magic wrld. It has been translated int many languages. S far, it has becme a great success. There are millins f cpies arund the wrld. But at first, all the British publishing huses refused t publish it. Later, nly a small publishing huse accepted it.

3. Write dwn the missing sentences
【设计意图:提醒学生对话应包含的重要句型,也为接下来的编对话做好铺垫,为不同层次的学生提供对话示范。】

Make up new dialgues.
T: Wrk in pairs and take turns t brrw bks frm a library. Yu can use the sentences prvided in yur dialgues.
