→Step 1 Leading in the tpic by learning vcabulary abut festivals
1. Make a circle n the blackbard and write the wrd “FESTIVAL” in it.
2. Ask students, “We have learned ‘festival’. Can yu name sme festivals? ”
3. Students list as many festivals as pssible. Then the teacher adds sme students can’t think f, such as Hallween, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day.
4. Let students read them alud and try t learn them by heart.

Wrk in grups and list three mre Chinese festivals that yu knw. Discuss when they take place, what they celebrate and what peple d at that time. Then tell the grup which festival is their favrite and why.
