Pearl S. Buck was a very ppular American writer f her day. She was famus fr her bks abut China. Pearl was brn in 1892 in West Virginia, America, but she spent almst half f her 81-year-lng life in China.

When the wman read the card, she began t cry. She dumped ut all thse difficulties, sbbing abut the husband wh was ut f jb and the sn wh was as fickle as frtune. As a matter f fact, she culdn’t restrained herself at all. After venting her emtins, she held my hands tightly and thanked me ut f turn. She explained that withut my card, she wuldn’t have seen herself, nt even had the hpe fr the future. I was at a stand and didn’t knw what reactin I might give since I’ve never cme acrss this befre. All I culd think abut was: “Wuld it be OK t give yu a hug?”
After we embraced, I walked back t my car and wrds n the card crwded int my mind again. “Yu matter.” Saying the sentence t myself, I feel a warm glw spreading inside me.
