No matter what you’re looking for, Orlando has a perfect place for every type of traveler. Here’s my list of the best places to stay in town.
The Alfond Inn
The Alfond Inn is a modern, 112-room hotel in the super-walkable heart of Winter Park. It’s a quiet, art-filled space that I think couldn’t be more suitable for honeymooners.
The hotel also has a heated outdoor pool and a great restaurant, Hamilton’s Kitchen, with a focus on local food.
The Ritz-Carlton
For luxury (奢华) and an escape from the noisy city, treat yourself to a stay at The Ritz-Carlton. Located on a peaceful 500-acre land with three indoor pools, a championship-level golf course, a 40,000-square-foot spa, a tennis club, and award-winning dining choices, I think this hotel has a true getaway experience.
The Park Plaza Hotel
Built in 1922, this 28-room hotel is on the walkable shop-and-restaurant-lined Park Avenue in Winter Park, just north of Orlando. Having an elegant lobby with European-inspired decorations and nice rooms with balconies (阳台), the Park Plaza Hotel is a popular honeymoon spot and a favorite for writers and other creative professionals like myself seeking peaceful working vacations.
The Wellborn
Near the Thornton Park neighborhood, The Wellborn, a 20-room hotel, is in Orlando’s oldest house which was built in 1883. Just a short walk from downtown’s Lake Eola, The Wellborn is near many local bars and restaurants, and it has a romantic environment with gardens and tree-lined brick streets.
21. Where is Hamilton’s Kitchen?
A. At The Wellborn. B. At The Ritz-Carlton.
C. At the Alfond Inn. D. At the Park Plaza Hotel.
22. What can people do at The Ritz-Carlton?
A. Swim outdoors. B. Play ball games.
C. Enjoy bar drinks. D. Do some shopping.
23. What do the Park Plaza Hotel and The Wellborn have in common?

“Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are …”
The sweet sound of the well-known childhood song came out of the village office in Gaozhuang in Zhongwei, Ningxia Hui autonomous region. Inside, a small group of children were learning to play the guitar with Song Hao, deputy curator(副馆长) of Zhongwei Museum.
Song is 48 years and was born into an artistic family. He received strict musical training as a child and was quite good at playing the guitar and composing music. He had a wish to do what he could with his own music to make the world a brighter place for the children. In June last year, he found an opportunity to turn that wish into reality.
He was chosen to take part in rural vitalization(振兴) work in Gaozhuang for two years, and in his spare time, he started teaching village children to play the guitar.
“There’s something really magical about music,” he said, remembering that when he played for the children, many had twinkles in their eyes.
Song asked them if they wanted to learn to play, and they all said “Yes”, so he started a free class to teach them on weekends and during the summer and winter holidays. He paid for 20 guitars and music textbooks from his own pocket and began to teach them the basics, like how to pluck(弹拨) the strings and read music.
The children loved the classes so much that they would arrive at the village office early to wait for Song. Over the past six months, a number of children have learned to play entire pieces, and Song said that he could feel the happiness and confidence that learning to play music had brought to them.
Shen Mingyi, Shen Huihong’s father, spoke highly of Song and his guitar class, saying that his daughter had become more extroverted as a result.
24. What did Song Hao do during his spare time in Gaozhuang?
A. He held concerts in the village.
B. He went sightseeing with village school.
C. He helped to build the village school.
D. He taught village children to play the guitar.
25. What made the children go to the guitar classes early?
A. The school rules. B. The teacher’s plan.
C. Their love for the classes. D. Their parents’ requirements.
26. What does the underlined word “extroverted” mean in the last paragraph?
A. Polite. B. Outgoing. C. Anxious. D. Confused.
27. Which of the following can best describe Song Hao?
A. Selfless. B. Humorous. C. Honest. D. Brave.

When people think about improving their physical fitness, they often neglect (忽视) balance. Good balance is a necessary part of being physically fit and key to living a long life, according to a research. It’s important for everyone, no matter your age.
Older adults are most affected by poor balance. Falls are the leading cause of injury and death for those 65 and older, with nearly 30% in this age group reporting at least one fall in 2018, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But younger adults frequently fall down, too.
Forty-eight percent of young adults reported falling at least once during one 16-week study. The falls most commonly happened during sports activities, with women in the study reporting more falls and fall-related injuries than men.
Falls within the previous two years were reported by 18% of young adults (ages 20 to 45) in another study published in the journal BMC Public Health. That figure (数据) compared with 21% of middle-aged adults (46 to 65) reporting falls and 35% of those over 65. While falls among young adults were often connected with sports, falls by the middle-aged group were typically related to health problems and physical changes.
Many factors (因素) can affect your balance outside of age, such as vision changes, brain injuries, overweight and a general lack of physical fitness. Even if you have no risk factors, simply neglecting to work regularly on your balance will result in increased instability (不稳定性).
“Our body is conditioned to lose what we don’t regularly use and practice, and balance is no different,” said a researcher.
28. What role does a good balance play in our lives?
A. It helps us live a healthy and long life.
B. It enables us to build a perfect shape.
C. It protects us from getting seriously sick.
D. It has the power to make us look young.
29. How does the author show the research results?
A. By having a discussion. B. By giving a list of figures.
C. By raising questions. D. By following the time order.
30. In which situation are young adults likely to fall down?
A. When a health problem comes up. B. When working regularly.
C. When a physical change appears. D. When joining in a sport.
31. What can we learn from the last paragraph?
A. We are naturally born with balance.
B. We should manage our body properly.
C. Our body is used to working in its own way.
D. We’ll lose our balance if we don’t practise it often.
D
Do you like traveling? Many people choose backpacking (背着背包徒步旅行) because it not only helps save a lot of money, but also gives them another kind of experience. When you are planning a backpacking adventure, the first thing to do in your opinion may be the decision on the places where you will visit. However, it is not the most important thing. Great adventures will make you face great danger. So you should not only imagine the enjoyment you will have on the trip, but also think about the possible danger you might face.
Making travel insurance (保险) is the most staple. It can make sure that you stay safe on the trip. So you should buy a backpacker travel insurance policy (保险单) before you leave. Backpacker policies are specially designed to meet your needs, by offering a high level of cover for a long time of travel. You can buy a backpacker policy from one week to two years or longer time. The backpacker insurance policy covers many activities such as swim and ski, and provides protection for these activities. So buying a backpacker travel insurance policy is very important.
It is a good idea to compare a few insurance companies before you make a decision. You should always carefully check the backpacker policy and make sure the activities you want to do are all covered by the policy.

A. plans to go for a backpacking

It became a tradition in their village that everyman who died due to helping others would be honored as Miriad, and would be remembered by all the people.

His mother continued, “That is the reason why people made Miriad a statue, for you child to copy and not to forget.”
One morning, the boy saw a little girl crying under an apple tree. “Why do you cry?” the boy asked. “I was trying to get myself some fruit from this apple tree and suddenly I fell down from it,” the little girl explained. “Let me do it for you,” the boy said.
