The last Monday in March is an important day in China. It is a day for school safety education. At school, the big accidents are mainly stampedes (踩踏), earthquakes (地震) and fires.
A stampede always happens in crowded places. When students around yon begin to push, stand there and try to hold onto something. If you fall down in the crowd, put your hands around your head. Move to one side, and bend (弯曲) your body and legs.
