| Pre-task preparation 1.Ask and answer Review: tall, short, thin, fat, big, small using the 2.Wallpicture. Use categories for students to join. Explain that some students may fit into more than one category. Show some pictures of animals that illustrate the size categories e.g. a giraffe for tall. While-task procedure 1.Introduce: Who is he/she? He’s/She’s …; friend 2. Go around the class asking Who’s he/she? To elicit: He’s/She’s ___ 3.Play the cassette. The students listen and repeat. 4.Practise Who’s he/she? Using the word and Picture Cards of the characters. 5.Students think of a friend in class. One student volunteers to come out in front of the class and describe his/her friend. The other students make guesses. 6.In pairs, students exchange information in the same way. 7.Students write about a friend using the model provided. Post-task activity Workbook 1.Review the adjectives using the Word and Picture Cards. 2.The students fill in the blanks and tick the correct boxes. Consolidation Recite the words and text. |
