【教学目标】
1.通过Say and act的情景对话,进一步巩固新学的词汇和句型。
2.帮助学生学习字母组合br和cr在单词中的发音。
3.通过任务(Task),帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能。

1.语音:br (bread), cr (ice cream).
2.词汇:their, light, watch, TV, before, turn off, watch TV, tell a story.

Ⅰ. Pre-task preparations
1.让学生跟着节奏朗读儿歌,鼓励学生改编儿歌。

What are you doing?
I'm reading, I'm reading,
Reading about fishing.

(2)Kitty, Kitty, what are you doing?
I'm doing, I'm doing,
Doing my homework in the living room. Ben, Ben, what are you doing?
I'm making, I'm making,
Making a model plane in my bedroom.

2.师生问答,提醒学生注意一般现在时与现在进行时的区别。
T: What do you usually do in the evening?
S1: I usually do my homework in the evening.
S2: I usually watch TV in the evening.
T: What are you doing now?
S3: I'm taking my English lesson.
Ⅱ. While-task procedures
1.利用照片、多媒体等,介绍有关Earth Hour的背景知识。
T: Earth Hour is on the last Saturday of March each year. On that day, from 8:30 to 9:30 in the evening, people turn off the lights to help save energy.
2.播放Say and act的录音,学生听课文录音,回答问题,完成表格。

然后与学生互相问答,帮助学生进一步理解课文。
(1)What do people do during Earth Hour? (People turn off the lights at home.)
(2)What does Alice usually do in the evening? (She usually watches TV with her parents.)
(3)Now it's Earth Hour. Is she watching TV? (No. She's looking at the stars.)
(4)What does Kitty usually do before bedtime? (She usually reads storybooks before bedtime.)
(5)It's Earth Hour now. What's Kitty doing? (She's listening to a story.)

3.学生根据课文内容,完成Say and act的后续练习。然后核对答案。
4.出示一组含有字母组合br及cr的单词,请学生跟读感受字母组合的发音。如bread, bring, breakfast, cream, cry, crane等。
T: br, / br /, bread, bread.
Ss: br, / br /, bread, bread.
T: cr, / cr /, cream, cream.
Ss: cr, / cr /, cream, cream.
然后播放儿歌录音,请学生跟录音模仿朗读儿歌数遍。鼓励学生模仿录音中的语音语调。还可挖空单词中红色字母组合的部分,让学生听录音后填空,区br及cr。
Ⅲ. Post-task activities
1.学生四人一组,表演Say and act的对话。还可以让学生模仿课文,小组成员之间互相采访,并按照课文格式进行小组对话,畅想一下他们在“地球一小时”可以做些什么。
S1: Good evening. It's Earth Hour now. Many people turn off their lights. What are they doing now? Let's take a look.
S2: Hi, I'm ... I usually ... at night. But now, I'm... (doing).

2.首先,请每位学生按要求完成《练习册》Task中Think and write的表格,然后让学生自愿结对,参考Ask and answer提供的问题,询问对方家庭周六上午的活动情况。最后,作为回家作业,请学生根据自己填写的表格信息,完成Think and write。
