    1.seldom   adv. 频度副词, 不常; 很少,相当于hardly ever,  含有否定意义。通常放在be动词、助动词或情态动词之后, 行为动词之前,助动词、系动词或情态动词之后。

    4.fail作为动词, 意为不及格; 失败; 未能(做到), 其主要结构有以下两种: (1)fail sth. fail in sth. 意为做某事失败或不及格(2)fail to do sth. 意为未能做某事

    4) advise sb. of sth.意为通知或告知某人有某情况

    6. take pride in 感到自豪/骄傲,与be proud of 同义。后接让人引以为荣的对象,其中pride为抽象名词,意为 自豪;骄傲in 为介词,后接名词、代词或动名词作宾语。

    proud形容词, 意为自豪的; 骄傲的be proud of意为……为自豪, be proud of doing sth. =be proud to do sth. 意为因做……而自豪

    pride名词, 意为自豪; 骄傲take pride in意为……为自豪
