 邀请某人去某地:  invite sb. to sp.

 邀请某人做某事:  invite sb. to do sth.

(2) invitation n. 邀请，请帖  一封 邀请函 an invitation letter

【精讲】交通方式的3种表达

(1) 用“by+交通工具”表示交通方式(介词短语，放句末)。

 by bike/ bus/ coach/ train/ plane 骑车/乘汽车/长途客车/火车/飞机

注意: by后面的交通工具名词是单数，而且名词前面无冠词。

(2)用“take a+交通工具”表示交通方式(动词短语，放在主语后)。

 take a bus take a ship

注意:“步行”用on foot,“骑自行车”要用ride a bike来表示。

(3)on +大型交通工具(能站的) on a bus/ plane/ train (介词短语，放句末)

 in+小型交通工具(不能站的) in a car/ taxi (介词短语，放旬末) .

五．There was a lot of traffic on the way and the journey was a little boring.路上交通很拥挤并且这个旅程有点儿无聊。

【精讲】a little/ a few/ little/ few

(1)a little有点儿+ adj 同义: a bit/ a little bit

e.g. Please close the window, I feel a little cold.

(2) [补充] a little/ a few/ little/ few辨析

e.g. There are few eggs in the fridge. Let's go and buy some.

六．We finally arrived at the park.最终我们到达了公园。

【精讲】finally/ final

(1) finally  adv.最终 finally= at last = in the end

(2) final  n.决赛;期末考试 in the final/ pass the final

 e.g. John finally passed the final.

【精讲】“到达”的表达

(1) for oneself亲自

 e.g. Seeing a thing for oneself is better than hearing about it.耳闻不如目见。

 alone = by oneself= on one's own (注意单复数区别)

Peter wondered why he didn’t have many friends. The reason was he was always taking, never giving.
