    In this unit, students learn to talk about inventions. Great invention is a very interesting topic among the students. It will arouse the children’s great interest. That will be very helpful to practice using the target language. In The period ,students are asked to review passive voice, It gives the students much practice in speaking and listening on the target language. it helps the students have a self check. The Ss will be trained to write an article.

     

    Analysis of learners

    The students have learned how to describe inventions They have some ability in English listening, speaking, and reading. But most students are afraid of writing.

     

     

    Teaching aims

    1. Knowledge Objects

     (1)Use the following words

    properly: plenty of, suppose, war, electronic, actor, spare

    (2)How to answer an article.

    2.Ability Objects

    (1) Train the students’ writing skills.

    (2) To review the usages of attributive clauses in that/which/who

    2. Train students writing skill.

    2. Let some Ss talk about their favorite inventions.

      Ss think about their favorite inventions. and give the answers.

    Work on 3a

    Get the Ss to talk about their favorite inventions in groups. Fill in the chart in 3a.

     

    Talk in groups and fill in the chart.

    Prepare material for what they need in 3b.

     

     

     

     

    Step5

    Work on 3b

    1. Ask the Ss to write an article about what their favorite inventions by using the notes in 3a. Go around to help them when they are writing.

    2. Choose some students to show their articles.

    3. Share a sample passage with the Ss.

    1. Write an article alone.

    2. To learn from other Ss.

    3. Read and learn.
