Ability objectives ①Be able to understand the the passage about Cambridge, London and Britain. ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit. 教学过程 | 1.Lead-in: ①Teacher asks students to watch the video. ②Ask students to name the famous places in London according to the pictures. ③Students talk with their partners and teacher checks the answer. 2.Presentation Task 1 New words ①Show some pictures about the new words. ②Teacher organizes the students to read the new words together. ③Teacher picks a few students to read the words. Task 2 Reading ①Ask students to look at the map of England and read the sentences. ②Play the tape and ask students to scan the passage. ③Ask students to skim the passage and choose a title for each picture below. ④Guide the students to listen to the tape again. ⑤Ask students to complete the table comparing Cambridge with London. ⑥Ask students to complete the passage with the words and expression in the box. ⑦Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class. Task 3 Notes ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found. ②Teacher explains the language points. Task 4 Sentences ①Teacher shows the important sentences. ②Ask the students to read through the sentences.
