一、教学目标

2. 一般将来时的被动语态及其各种句式。
难点:能听懂有关发明及其应用的文章,并能使用各个时态的被动语态谈论某种物品发明的时间、发明人及用途。

Step 1 Warm-up
Watch the video and answer the questions.
How many inventions are mentioned in the video? What are they?
设计意图:通过视频的方式呈现历史上的重大发明,调动学生积极思考表达,进而引入本节课的主题。
Step 2 Pre-listening
Activity 1
T shows three pictures of new inventions in our modern life and talk about them with Ss.
1. Look at the pictures and answer the questions in pairs.
2. Discuss possible answers as a class.
3. T helps Ss to know more new inventions.
设计意图:通过图片谈论今日话题“Inventions”既可以活跃课堂气氛,还调动了学生的学习兴趣。
Activity 2
1. Ask Ss to work with their desk partner to read the sentences and discuss possible answers. Help with vocabulary as need.
2. Listen and complete the sentences.
3. Check the answers as a class.
设计意图:从简单的听力开始,让学生带着问题初步了解课文,形成整体印象,锻炼学生获取主旨大意的能力。
Look and learn
1. Show some pictures with the new words, ask the students to read them quickly.
2. Read the new words in groups.
设计意图:结合图片学习新单词,为接下来的听力活动做好铺垫。

Activity 3
Fast Listening
1. Listen and answer some questions.
(1) What does Tony want to borrow? Why?
(2) Will his father lend him the camera? What does his father ask him to do?
2. Check the answers together.
3. Read the summary of the conversation. Underline the wrong information and correct it.
Careful Listening
1. Ask Ss to read and find the differences between the past and now.
2. Check the answers together.
设计意图:通过改错和阅读并找出今昔对比的练习方式加强学生对课文细节的理解。
Activity 4
Find the sentences in the conversation which mean:
1. Organize the students to read the sentences and then look for sentences in the conversation that have the same meaning.
2. Compare in a group before checking as a class.
设计意图:此环节训练学生在语境中体会句子的含义,通过小组合作探究的形式,降低难度。
Activity 5
1. Ask Ss to read the words in the box. Tell them to find the words in the conversation and work out the meaning from the context.
2. Tell Ss to work with a partner and answer the questions.
3. Compare answers as a class.
设计意图:通过小组合作交流,在问答中巩固本节课词汇的用法。
Step 4 Post-listening
Grammar
1. Find out the sentences which belong to the passive voice in the dialogue.
a. They’ll be put up on the school website.
b. And they can be seen on the Internet by other classes.
c. Will computers be used more than books in the future?
2. Sum up.
Language points
1. They’ll be put up on the school website.
它们(照片)将被公布在学校的网站上。
put up的意思是“张贴;公布;挂起”。
2. Some were huge ones with thousands of pages.
有的书甚至有几千页厚。
thousands of的意思是“成千上万的;数以千计的”,不能和数词连用。
3. If you have to lend it to anyone, tell them to use it properly.
如果一定要借给其他人的话,你要告诉他们如何正确使用它。
lend作动词,意为“借给”,强调“借出”。
常用短语lend sb. sth.相当于lend sth. to sb.,意为“把某物借给某人”。
lend反义词borrow意为“借;借用”,强调“借入”。
常用短语为borrow sth. from sb./sp.,意思是“从某人/某地借来某物”。
4. But today, we can send and receive photos and mails on the Internet, and it’s really fast.
但今天,我们可以在互联网上收发照片和邮件,而且速度非常快。
receive作动词,意为“收到”。
设计意图:教师点拨,解决难点,让学生巩固本课时的语言重难点。
Activity 6
1. Listen and mark the pauses.
2. Now listen again and repeat.
Activity 7
1. Work in pairs. Talk about the advantages of these inventions. Allow them to take notes if they wish.
2. Put Ss in pairs to talk about the advantages of each invention.
3. Still working with a partner, Ss talk about the effects the inventions have had on their life.
设计意图:通过小组合作交流,对现有发明提出自己的观点。实现从“输入”到“输出”的转变,提高学生英语语言的综合运用能力。
Step 5 Summary
1. They’ll be put up on the school website.
2. Will computers be used more than books in the future?
3. And they can be seen on the Internet by other classes.
一般将来时的被动语态:
主语 + will/be (am/is/are) going to + be + done
含有情态动词的被动语态:
主语 + 情态动词 + be + done
设计意图:带领学生梳理所学知识,方便学生课后巩固复习。
